Abstract
HERNANDEZ-CRUZ, Leticia; CARRILLO-ROMO, Felipe and PATINO-CARDONA, Francisco. Extracción de Fe (II) y Ni (II) con membranas líquidas. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2001, vol.45, n.1, pp.29-32. ISSN 0583-7693.
The extraction of iron (II) and nickel (II) from sulfate solutions was studied. In the experimental development di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) was used as the extractant and kerosene was used as diluent at 298 K. This technique is a variation of solvent extraction process and is based on the use of liquid membranes. It was found that the liquid membrane used showed better extraction rates for Fe (II) than Ni (II). From the analysis of the results, it can be stated that the process is applicable to the extraction of the metals studied, at concentrations lower than 10−3 M.
