Abstract

DELFIN, Irma  and  RAYGOZA, María Isabel. Laboratorios abiertos: una alternativa para la enseñanza de la Química en las carreras de ingeniería. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2000, vol.44, n.3, pp.243-246. ISSN 0583-7693.

Open lab is a way to teach chemistry to engineering students in which the experimental work becomes meaningful to his particular type of engineering. Traditional students usually show no interest to do experimental work, with minimum observation and manipulation of instruments, Open Lab is characterized by the students attitudes: thinking, working and predicting all the time. This dynamic laboratory work gave good results, mainly when all the experimental problems, laboratory work and results, were discussed and complemented during final sessions with the group of students.

Keywords : Professional teaching; engineering; experimental chemistry.
