Abstract
GUERRERO DE LIZARDI, Carlos. Determinantes del crecimiento: el caso de México, 1986-2003. Prob. Des [online]. 2007, vol.38, n.148, pp.153-171. ISSN 0301-7036.
Using as explicative variables from the U.S. economy, foreign capital, the real exchange rate and income and price elasticities for exports and imports, we propose an explanation of the functioning of the Mexican economy using its new development model. The analysis emphasizes two different growth strategies, one implemented between 1986 and 1994, and another from 1995 to 2003. The quantitative exercise adequately simulates the GDP dynamic.
