Abstract

ROMERO LUNA, Isidoro. Las PYME en la economía global: Hacia una estrategia de fomento empresarial. Prob. Des [online]. 2006, vol.37, n.146, pp.31-50. ISSN 0301-7036.

In recent years, the public authorities have promoted entrepreneurship and supported what is known as the PYME as a development strategy due to its impact on economic growth, job creation and the reduction of poverty. In this study, we discuss the justification for these policies, as well as their more adequate orientation in the present globalization scenario. In this respect, the need to overcome the traditional focus due to the actions posed focuses on subsidies and other hard incentives, whose limitations have been shown repeatedly. In contrast, a business promotion policy design is defended oriented around maintaining a general environment favorable to the company as a driving factor in business activity.

Keywords : PYME; business environment; business promotion; entrepreneurship; economic development.
