Abstract

Hegemony has become not only a case study but one of the main analytical tools in the Social Sciences field. Its approach has been popularized by Laclau and Mouffe, who proposed a contingent and discursive procedure of this notion. Nonetheless, the arrival of certain academics who subscribe the posthegemony −Lash, Arditi, BeasleyMurray, among others− has caused a proliferation of particular debates. This article proposes the identification of four discussion axes and their analysis: the temporary context, the (in)mediation, the courses of action and the ontological issue, by rejecting a paradigmatic view on this matter.
