Abstract

This article analyzes dating violence trough studying its prevalence rates in Latin America and Chile in the last two decades, comparing them with data from other countries. The relevance of the problem in this country is verified, where psychological violence is up to 51% and physical is reached to 25%. Possible causes of the poor relevance and diffusion of this problem in public policies are also exposed, comparing methodologies and evaluation instruments used.
