Anxiety and distresses in the Field Work with Crews of youngsters in Costa Rica. A pair of anecdotes experienced during the fieldwork with crews of young people (known as gangs) of Guarari de Heredia (district of the Central Valley of Costa Rica) is presented, in which anxiety and distresses were experienced. The final goal is to propose the idea of ethnographic concern, which tries to accountfor the emotional experiences that influence ethnographic implementations.
