Abstract

CANO SUNEN, Nuria. Corporeality and Memory in the Daily Landscape. Alteridades [online]. 2015, vol.25, n.49, pp.39-52. ISSN 2448-850X.

This article shows the existing relations between the daily landscape, the body and the memory. In the first part, such relations are justified from a theoretical point of view. In the second, and based on concrete ethnographic investigation on the landscape in the Valley of Carranza (Basque Country, Spain), such relations are built through diverse landscaping narratives focused on the non-visual, the change of traditional rural society to the contemporary and taskscapes or landscapes generated by daily activities.

Keywords : sensoriality; daily nature; taskscape; Valley of Carranza; memory.
