It is intended to know the importance of aposentos in neo-Pentecostalism. Aposentos refer to collective fasting carried out in some protestant churches. Its purpose goes from spiritual growth to the satisfaction of some needs through abstinence of food and constant pray. This ritual is carried out to obtain the help of God during difficult situations; but the main purpose is to search for a communion with Him without any distracting factors. For this reason, fasting is celebrated in the temple or in the parishioners' home.
