This article describe a celebration of San Pedro Huamelula identifing complex relations between the different ritual groups that participate during the six consecutive days of thefeast. Eventhough this celebration is related to the Dances of Conquest of Mexico, the purpose is to demonstrate that the ritual effectiveness consists in the relationships that such characters established among themselves as they perform contradictory roles.
