Brazilian indigenism in times ofmulticulturalism. This article analyzes the changes that occurred within the political-administrative structures of the Brazilian State after the 1988 Federal Constitution, particularly in regards to the relation to the indigenous peoples, the limitations and obstacles to understand the multicultural nature of Brazilian society as well as the special rights guaranteed to these peoples. Lastly, an evaluation is carried out concerning the current reality and thefuture perspectives.
