Throughout relato del maíz, this article explores the possibilities of referential and metaphorical language with the intention of getting to a better understanding of the only thing that brings together the native and the ethnographer during that dialogical moment: the works. Thus, the reader of this article takes part of this incessant account. After all, relato comes from the Latin verb relatare, which means to relate.
