Abstract

In an economic, social, political, and sanitary context marked by the emergency of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, SME are affected due to their limited resources, high vulnerability of losses because of social distancing, and limited funding compared to big companies. For the present research, relationships among the main issues in food and beverages enterprises in Mexico were determined, as well as the different contingencies they are facing at a regional level. The results show a positive and significant correlation among company contingencies, while there are notable differences in the problems of each region, where the Western region stand out. There is a need for a multivariate strategy that attends management problems in each company as well as in each region.
