Abstract

PEINADO CAMACHO, José de Jesús; MONTOY HERNANDEZ, Luis Daniel  and  TORRES HERNANDEZ, Zacarías. A management strategy to generate resources in a research and postgraduate center. Case study of CIITEC in the context of Mexico. Acta univ [online]. 2020, vol.30, e2445.  Epub Mar 26, 2021. ISSN 2007-9621.  https://doi.org/10.15174/au.2020.2445.

When public policies are based on austerity, the economic resources decrease and opportunities become scarce. In this position, it is time to think, suggest and apply new alternatives to overcome adverse situations. In this context, the objective of the research is to propose a strategy to generate economic resources through tests carried out by accredited laboratories for the Center for Research and Technological Innovation. The research design is non-experimental. The type of study is descriptive, and the case study was used as the research technique. The present investigation provided useful information about the tests of accredited laboratories, so it is possible to have an efficient administration that is able to increase the monetary income. Among the relevant results, it was found that the Ciitec has service infrastructure, installed capacity, intellectual capital, and knowledge management; for this reason, it has greater advantages and better elements to generate resources.

Keywords : Strategy; management; resource generation; research center.
