Abstract

LEON-ROJAS, Carlos. OPTIMIZACIÓN Y PUESTA A PUNTO DE UN MÉTODO DE MINERALIZACIÓN DE MUESTRAS AMBIENTALES PARA LA DETERMINACIÓN DE ULTRATRAZAS DE PLATINO, RODIO Y PALADIO. Rev. Int. Contam. Ambient [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.3, pp.107-113. ISSN 0188-4999.

A methodology for the mineralization of environmental samples was developed, for the later analysis of ultratraces of platinum, rhodium and palladium, by voltammetry. The proposed method uses a mixture of HNO3, HCl and HClO4, in a high pressure digester (HPA), with a maximum temperature of 320 °C and 100 bar of pressure. The recovery studies gave results near 100 % and demonstrate that the developed methodology is useful for the analysis of the elements under study. Nevertheless, it is a long procedure that requires being careful, in order to avoid the loss of the elements or the contamination of the samples.

Keywords : ultratraces; mineralization; platinum; rhodium; palladium.
