The behaviour of the acumulation of dead leaves of Posidonia oceanica (vegetal berm) over the backshore has been analized. Two beach profiles, before and after its mecanical elimination, were made. After that, SW a stormy episody took place, giving as a consequence the erosion of both backshore and foredune, due to the elimination of the vegetal berm. The final result was a loss of beach and foredune surface.
