Abstract

ECHEVERRIA ARRIAGADA, Carlos I.. Amateur subtitling of japanese animation: an intertextual approach. Comun. soc [online]. 2014, n.22, pp.103-136. ISSN 0188-252X.

The present article purports to approach amateur subtitling of Japanese animation (ASJA) from an intertextual perspective. With this we aim to show the adequacy of the theoretical framework here used for the study of discursive activities of the complex nature of ASJA, as well as to provide the basis for a proper account of this particular practice.

Keywords : Amateur subtitling; Japanese animation; discourse; intertextuality; interdiscursivity.
