Abstract

TORRECILLAS LACAVE, Teresa. Family mediation in children's television reception: An analysis of indicators of preferred mediation and actual mediation. Comun. soc [online]. 2013, n.20, pp.135-159. ISSN 0188-252X.

Based on in-depth interviews with 48 families with children between 4 and 12 years old from the community of Madrid, we have analyzed each indicator which defines parent's mediation processes in the television practices of children. Our analysis has revealed a high degree of permissiveness at homes and the need for media education of parents.
