Abstract

BOBES, Velia Cecilia. Cuba: social justice, governance and civic imaginary. Present and future of a complex relationship. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2010, vol.72, n.4, pp.519-541. ISSN 2594-0651.

The article discusses the link between governance, citizenship and social justice in Cuba on the basis of an exhaustive analysis of the definition of the ideal of social justice present in the Cuban government's discourse and practices since 1959, emphasizing the peculiarities of each of the stages. It ends with a look at the current situation on the basis of the succession of power over the past two years.
