Abstract

BRENNER, Ludger. Environmental Governance, Social Actors and Conflicts in Mexican Natural Protected Areas. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2010, vol.72, n.2, pp.283-310. ISSN 2594-0651.

This article analizes the challenges faced by environmental governance of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, one of the most important protected natural areas in Mexico. The study focuses on social actors involved, their interests, strategies, relative power and actions. The information obtained shows that the main problem faced by environmental governance actions comes from the various social actors.
