Abstract

GOMEZ SUAREZ, Águeda. The Sex/Gender System and Ethnicity: Digital and Analogical Sexualities. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2009, vol.71, n.4, pp.675-713. ISSN 2594-0651.

This article deals with cultural diversity which is primarily represented by the various indigenous peoples in existence today. Specifically, this intercultural approach attempts to reveal the various "sexual cultures" in each of these groups, their socio-sexual order and their sex/gender systems in order to analyze "male domination", androcentrism, heteronormativity and the dimorphic sex/gender model as universal, transcultural realities or as characteristic of the Western sex/gender mechanism.

Keywords : gender; ethnicity; sexual culture; frame analysis.
