Abstract
RUIZ LARRAGUIVEL, Estela. Advanced University Technicians: Educational Differentiation, Social Stratification and Labor Segmentation. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2009, vol.71, n.3, pp.557-584. ISSN 2594-0651.
The article analyzes results obtained in a qualitative research project on the occupational effects of Advanced University Technicians (TSU) graduated from the Technological University (UT) in terms of their labor conditions and occupational movements to link them to their processes of social mobility. The UT offers two-year technical courses for underprivileged groups. In light of the changes that have occurred in labor spheres and on the basis of the findings obtained, it can be inferred that the UT performs a social function that is closely linked to the processes of social stratification.
