Abstract

PALACIOS, Alicia; PASCUAL, Virginia  and  MORENO-MEDIAVILLA, Daniel. Wall-E: Science in context for teacher education. Educ. quím [online]. 2021, vol.32, n.4, pp.96-108.  Epub Feb 28, 2022. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2021.5.78134.

The present work depicts and analyzes a didactic proposal for pre-service teachers who use movies in a virtual learning environment. The proposal uses the film Wall-E as an educational resource that allows teachers to approach a contextualized and reflective teaching of science. The results of the didactic intervention, the pre-test post-test, and the satisfaction survey indicate that the proposal has increased teacher interest in the use of contexts through film. In addition, it has encouraged the use of CSC to promote reflection in the science classroom. However, this change in perception is not reflected in a more innovative use of these strategies in the classroom.
