This paper aims to show how convenient and necessary is to promote tutorship in the domain of chemical education. It stands out tutorship role in the perspective of a comprehensive education, not only in the cognitive aspect, but in all of it's dimensions. Some reflections on the problems and challenges for their appropriate implementation are also presented. Based in our educational experience in the chemical area, actions, activities and suggestions are presented in order to consolidate tutor's action.
