Abstract

PEREZ-BENITEZ, Aarón. Science popularization in Mexico: A passion, a challenge, an art..., an incomprehensive activity!. Educ. quím [online]. 2011, vol.22, n.4, pp.292-299. ISSN 0187-893X.

Challenges, motivation and experiences of a person who has science popularization as a hobby are described. From the different manners in which this activity can be developed, the article's author has preferred the face-to-face work with children and young people, from preschool to secondary educational levels, carrying out workshops with which he wants to attract their attention and motivate them to the search for scientific knowledge. With a little more than twenty years of experience in this field, the article's author was awarded with state prize of science and technology 2010 at Puebla (Mexico), in popularization of science and technology category.
