Abstract
PARDO FERNANDEZ, Rodrigo. The narrative fiction of the border: The Rio Grande in three Mexican novels. Frontera norte [online]. 2013, vol.25, n.49, pp.157-178. ISSN 2594-0260.
The territory in both sides of the Bravo River is a space of confluence and shared memory, but at the same time it's a space of divergences in understanding the world, and therefore, in the way of writing it. The cultural space, besides languages and its uses, do not find themselves restricted by political or economic limits. This work pretends to approach this relationship, this complex conception of the river as rupture and obligated passage, the way of living it or ignoring it, and the possible or impossible dialog relations between the cultural subjects that develop writing within a divided geography.
Keywords : Grande Rio; border crossing; border; narrative fiction; Mexican northern border literature.
