MARINEZ, María del Rosario. Foundations for Education of the Northern Territory of Baja California, 1945-1952. Frontera norte [online]. 2010, vol.22, n.44, pp.185-209. ISSN 2594-0260.

During Manuel Avila Camacho's administration (1940-1946) a central government project was undertaken to federalize education, in order to incorporate it into the Federal Territories. In response to this governmental action, the territorial government, the private sector, and federal education officials created the Education Trust of the Northern Territory of Baja California during the Miguel Alemán Valdés administration (1946-1952), in order to meet the enormous demand for education in Baja California during the second half of the 1940's.

Keywords : Northern Territory of Baja California; Regional history of education; Manuel Ávila Camacho; Miguel Alemán Valdés; Education trusts.
