Abstract

This article's main objective is to present an assessment of education in the state of Nuevo Leon. The guiding questions were: Is Nuevo Leon a leader in education nationwide? Are educational opportunities the same throughout the state? We analyzed 2000 Census data and the results of the 2003 REALE school achievement test from several schools in the state. Results show inequities in education throughout Nuevo Leon.
