Abstract

FUENTES, Noé Arón. Encadenamientos insumo-producto en un municipio fronterizo de Baja California, México. Frontera norte [online]. 2003, vol.15, n.29, pp.151-184. ISSN 2594-0260.

The input-output table is a versatile tool because it enables us to examine linkages amog sectors. Input-output may be used to simply describe a regional economy o to analyze and forecast. In this paper, first, we show how input-output table can contribuite to an understanding of interindustry linkages and regional structure of Mexicali. Second, we use the model to understand the municipal economic growth-which groups are most likely to gain from local economic growth and which groups may not benefit or may actually be harmed.

Keywords : regional input-output; economic linkages; input-output matrix; Mexicali; Baja California.
