Abstract

Through the analytical category of feminicide this article studies the killing of little girls and women in Ciudad Juarez, México, between 1993 and 1999. The purpose is to distinguish different types of feminicide commited in this period and to outline the sociodernographic vulnerability profile of the victims. The data of the known 162 victims were obtain from official and secondary sources. The results give a preliminary victims' profile and confirm the presence of different types of feminicide, in some cases work related; they also confirm the notion of a serial killer and a machismo epidemic that repeats certain extermination cultural standards.
