This work presents some lines of analysis on the concept of participation in autonomous schools zapatistas, concept that I return, since Marx criticism hegemonic research which conceives of reality as object of contemplation and not as a human sensory activity, that is, as a practice. This criticism makes sense based on the experience of research with children, promoters and farmers zapatistas, who reflect on the importance of participation in all processes of the autonomy, link knowledge with the consciousness that lead to practice, linking the dimensions between the individual and the collective in the sphere of politics, to assume government charges and commissions of autonomous practice, as learning started to encourage in children within the educational process of the zapatista school.

Keywords : childhood; participation; education; zapatista autonomy.
