Abstract
RADETICH FILINICH, Natalia. El arte, la técnica y lo político: a propósito de La obra de arte en la época de su reproductibilidad técnica, de Walter Benjamin. Argumentos (Méx.) [online]. 2012, vol.25, n.68, pp.15-26. ISSN 0187-5795.
This article introduces a set of observations concerning Walter Benjamin's The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction. It mainly takes two distinct matters into account: the relationship established between art and politics, and the problem of technology and the conditions under which art is produced. The goal is to present us with several summaries of Benjamin's considerations, as well as the debates and discussions these have fostered, so that we might also take a quick glance at some of the writings by Theodore W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer which, through a critical lens, have something to say about the matter at hand.
Keywords : cult value; exhibition value; production conditions; utopianism; emancipation.
