This article aims to explore the constitution of political identities in democratic communities inserted into dense globalization processes. Against this background, some of the main mutations of the Nation State and present-day regionalism are examined, as well as the way in which political globalization affects the complexity of political identities at present. Finally, the search for the consolidation of democratic policy in a context of marked multiculturalism, where a sense of community and identity are constructed.
