Native strains of mycorrhizal arbuscular forming fungi, in five highly saline soils in the state of San Luis Potosí, were characterized, identified and propagated. Propagation of five native species of México was done in pots. Three genera of mycorriza arbuscular forming fungi were recorded Acaulospora, Gigaspora and Glomus. Additionally, four morphospecies: Glomus mosseae, G. aff. etunicatum, G. intraradices and Paraglomus sp., were propagated, described and identified.
