Abstract

This article deals with the appearance of the SARS-2-COV virus from the standpoint of the sociology of risk and the environmental repercussions of the existing growth model. The author puts forward climate change and the loss of biodiversity as key elements for analyzing the rise in zoonotic diseases and proposes using the social construction of risk (perceptions plus vulnerability) as indicators for dealing with the risk-disaster.
