Abstract

RODRIGUEZ LUNA, Ricardo. Children's Games, Young Men's Injuries, Men's Deaths: Masculinities and Violence Prevention. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2015, vol.30, n.84, pp.75-115. ISSN 2007-8358.

This article analyzes the links between the construction of masculine identity and the main non-natural causes of death among men: traffic accidents and interpersonal violence, centering especially on responsibility and victimization of the causes of death among males. It shows the need for preventive strategies aimed at dealing with those causes of having a perspective that takes into account male gender and discusses the appropriateness of developing government actions to impact masculinities, oriented specifically for Mexicans.
