Abstract

DE LA PENA M., Francisco. El psicoanálisis, la hermenéutica del sujeto y el giro hacia la ética en la obra tardía de Michel Foucault. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2008, vol.23, n.66, pp.11-25. ISSN 2007-8358.

This article looks at Foucault's last works, where he puts ethical concerns and the reflection about subjectivity at center stage. It deals with this issue in light of his work on the history of sexuality, ethics and the hermeneutics of the subject. The controversy that he opened up with Freudianism and psychoanalysis in general, present in all these texts, is the common thread that throws into relief the meaning and scope of his proposals regarding ethics and the problem of the subject; the aesthetics of existence; care for the self; and spirituality

Keywords : Foucault; ethics; subject; psychoanalysis.
