The author describes and explains how Zapatismo developed in the region and the fundamental difference between the support groups and the Zapatista National Liberation Army, examining the organization and functioning of the "armed rebel community." Having explained the logic of the neo-Zapatistas' operations, it also deals with the internal military and political-civic tensions and conflicts of the Zapatista movement.
