MERCADO, Jorge. Violencia y migración, una representación colectiva. Estudio de caso en el municipio de Fresnillo, Zacatecas. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2006, vol.21, n.62, pp.175-196. ISSN 2007-8358.

This article analyzes the collective representations of part of the population in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, with regard to extreme situations associated with violence, drug consumption and sale, and prostitution, among others. It particularly examines the nexus that these social problems may have with international migration and its socio-cultural repercussions in communities of origin.
