Abstract

BERTELY BUSQUETS, María. Postcolonial focuses and the intercultural political and pedagogical movement in, and from Chiapas, Mexico. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2015, vol.36, n.141, pp.75-102. ISSN 2448-7554.

This essay systematizes some of the contributions to postcolonial movements of the intercultural political and pedagogical movement generated in, and from, Chiapas under the aegis of the "Union of New Education Teachers for Mexico" (UNEM, for its initials in Spanish). To this end, it analyzes some of the conditions that allowed an agency under indigenous control to generate an interstate network that integrates indigenous, independent, autonomous and official educators, as well as juridically-committed scholars.

Keywords : intercultural education; postcolonial social movements; indigenous agency; pedagogical training; inductive intercultural method; decolonization of knowledge.
