In today's world, caring for others is a topic of little importance for the majority of the population. It seems that the spirit of post-modernity leads mankind to adopt a form of caring that is full only in relation to himself. It is only by adopting alternative states based on ethical notions that it will become possible to reverse this tendency, though for this to happen, a profound reflection on the constructs of the I-Other relation is required.
