ROSSI, Annunziata. Seven Crimes and a Burning Library. The Name of the Rose of Umberto Eco. Acta poét [online]. 2018, vol.39, n.2, pp.35-61. ISSN 2448-735X.  https://doi.org/10.19130/iifl.ap.2018.2.836.

This article reads over The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco, and its status as an intertextual novel. This exercise makes visible the critical substrate of the writing of Eco's work, with respect to the relationship between power, knowledge and censorship as a form of control.

Keywords : Umberto Eco; The name of the rose; Middle Ages; medieval philosophy; Catholic Church.
