Abstract

GARCIA PINACHO, María del Pilar. From Quevedo to Peucer: Grandes anales de quince días and De Relationibus Novellis. Acta poét [online]. 2011, vol.32, n.2, pp.145-175. ISSN 2448-735X.

When Francisco Quevedo y Villegas wrote Grandes anales de quince días he lived in a society awash with information which was just beginning to come into line with the-the first thesis on journalism: Tobías Peucer's De Relationibus Novellis, defended in Germany in 1690/1696. In this study, Quevedo's texts are analyzed using Peucer's models regarding relations and bring to light the similarities in content, object, structure, style and purpose. This comparison testifies to the influence of the journalistic genre in this work, thus placing the text on the broad border which both separates and unifies, history and journalism.

Keywords : Journalism History; 17th Century; Francisco de Quevedo; Grandes anales de quince días; Tobías Peucer; De Relationibus Novellis.
