Abstract
CORTES ORTIZ, Cecilia A.. Hermenéutica en la Traducción y glosas de la Eneida de Enrique de Villena. Acta poét [online]. 2008, vol.29, n.1, pp.283-299. ISSN 2448-735X.
From a hermeneutic perspective, two main levels of interpretation in Enrique de Villena' s Traducción y glosas de la Eneida are analized. The first level is the translation from Latin into Castilian; the second level, which is a consequence of the compenetration between the reader (Villena) and the text (the Aeneid), consists in the commentaries. In the Glosses we find two constant interpretation levels: the literal sense, which comprises evehemerisms and etiologies; and the allegorical sense, which is divided in ethical-moral allegory and scientific allegory. Also, the importance of the reader for the author of the commentary is underlined, as well as illustrated with some examples.
