Abstract

MATEO, José Manuel. Hacia una poética de José Revueltas (primer apunte: el problema del lector). Acta poét [online]. 2004, vol.25, n.2, pp.67-84. ISSN 2448-735X.

Faced with the idea of a generic reader and reading as consensus, José Revueltas raises: a) readers and the readings of literature only exist as an act, and b) there is an eternal reader mostly constituted by those who write and read throughout the historic time, in such a way that the nature of the word is not limited to an immediate comprehension but goes ahead in an unlimited way. Both propositions are related to relevant Bakhtin's concepts (the social tone of the sentence, its orientation toward a future word-answer, the sign understood as a process of generation and not as a recognition of the same thing) and are evidence of the intense philosophical reflection that rules Revuelta's thought and his work throughout its literary, aesthetic and political theory manifestations.
