Abstract

This paper aims to make a reflection about the Virgil’s point of view related to women represented in his Aeneid. Mortal characters such as Creusa, Dido or Lavinia, including the immortal goddesses Venus and Juno, are a reflection of the representative women of Roman society, as exemplary matrons, either as wives or as mothers of illustrious sons.
