Development of scale for measuring the attitude towards the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teaching. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2021, vol.50, n.197, pp.97-115. This article reports the process of design and validation of a scale to measure college teachers’ attitudes towards the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching activities. Initially, a 47 item Likert-type scale was designed, in which the statements were tried to represent both the usefulness and drawbacks of using these tools in the teaching process. After submitting the scale to rigorous expert judgment, it was reduced to 32 items. This new scale was piloted in a sample of 176 university professors, just before they had to compulsorily use ICT in his teaching, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. After an item analysis process aimed at verifying their discrimination power, the scale was submitted to reliability and validity testing. Both criterial and construct validation were established.
