Abstract

This work measures the higher education impact on income level of the owners of the Baja California food and beverages marginalized microenterprises, through university social service. This line of research between education and economy shows the poverty dimension of the government programs. Outcomes from this research are added to empirical evidence about positive impacts of education on income and wellbeing because technical support to micro entrepreneurs through university social service, is an investment in human capital that generates positive economic return additional to individual schooling and experience.
