Abstract

BARBA, Bonifacio. Definition of the educational function in Aguascalientes with in the framework of Mexico's constitutional development: A state experience oh how to construct the right to education. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.135, pp.41-61. ISSN 0185-2698.

This article has as purpose to relate education with laws in order to offer an analysis from History of the definition process of the right to education within the construction of the constitutional lawfulness of the State of Aguascalientes. This work is documentary in two aspects. On one hand, it seeks to understand the matter within the national legal frame and within the formation process of the State of Aguascalientes. On the other, it analyses the constitutional texts of the State. The author shows in this article that the establishment of the right to education in Aguascalientes is tightly connected with the legal and political organization process at national level, on one hand, and, on the other, with the establishment of Aguascalientes as a political entity. Both processes took place, amongst other philosophical and political factors, under the difusion and influence of the liberal ideology and their culmination is reached with the acknowledgment of the right to education in Aguascalientes in the year of 1997.
