Abstract

SANCHIZ RUIZ, Javier  and  GOMEZ GALLARDO LATAPI, Juan. The false paternities of the Founding Father. Estud. hist. mod. contemp. Mex [online]. 2012, n.44, pp.49-93. ISSN 0185-2620.

This article questions the pension concessions made by the Senate to the descendants of the Father of the Nation, in addition to several current cases that claim kinship with the priest Miguel Hidalgo. The research carried out on the women with whom he reportedly had offspring provides evidence of the falsification of documents and impersonation of identities to claim pensions.

Keywords : Miguel Hidalgo; genealogy; pensions; fraud; Centenary; Manuela Ramos Pichardo; Josefa Quintana; Bibiana Lucero.
